Business of the Year

Sponsored by The RSA Trust

This category recognises the excellence of established businesses which have been trading over 2 years. The quality and strength of these entries this year was very high.

WINNER: Halo Dogs, Justin Kumaran

Halo Dogs, established in 2010, is London’s first licensed dog day care facility which has become the largest operation of its kind, looking after 65 dogs a day, with a waiting list of over 200! In addition to day care, the business provides a range of services from puppy and adult dog training, (including agility, guard dog and behaviour), boarding, grooming, pet-sitting, dog photography and even a pet taxi service and transport to vets. It also runs its own self-funded rescue and rehabilitation centre.

Winner of Enterprise Enfield’s 2011 Start Up Business of the Year, Halo Dogs has enjoyed consistent business growth over the last 3 years and is considered a leader in its market. It now employs 12 staff, including 10 full time qualified trainers and has acquired a new location in Cambridge, with another one in Enfield under negotiation. The business also provides support and mentorship for smaller similar operations.
